Staff Profile
William Courtney (Director)
Having spent over 25 years in Telecom sales within the UK, so when I was offered the opportunity to try my hand at selling property abroad in Tenerife it was a too good a chance to give up.
I was very fortunate to have purchased earlier property in Tenerife through a very dear friend and through her guidance hopefully some of her enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism have rubbed off.
I have now been in the Canaries for over 4 years and after working for several major agents and developer, it was time to take all that experience good and bad in to forming our own company, and with a great team to support us I hope that we can offer a service to help others who follow us in their search for that dream place in the sun.
Originally from Ealing in Middlesex and 3 years in East Grinstead, I'm a passionate supporter of Brentford Football Club and I believe that I am The only Bees Fan in Fuerteventura!!!!! On which you can hear more of on my Saturday Afternoon Sports radio slot on 'HOT'fm www.hotfmcanary.com
I also love other sports and try very hard to reduce my Golf Handicap from 28, although my main activity is Tennis. I have both my LTA & USTA coaching badges and a former member of the British Tennis Coaching Association before leaving the Uk.
So with our brilliant all year weather and so much to offer for everybody, I won't be packing the bags for the Uk, this is our home and we love the people, the culture and the beautiful Island of Fuerteventura.
Michele Courtney (Director)
I have worked in Real Estate for the past four years, starting off in Tenerife before moving to Fuerteventura, where the tiresome long days of working for a Harley Street dental surgeon and in later years as a Medical Receptionist for a local G.P. in London, now seems a distant dream.
With the brilliant all year round climate, I get the chance to soak up the sun on our beautiful golden beaches on a regular basis. The weather also makes for great socialising, and I enjoy meeting new and old friends, and whether the discussions are on their property requirements and dreams or just catching up on the latest news, its a wonderful life.
Amanda Collinson (Sales & Media)
I have now lived on the wonderful island of Fuerteventura for almost 6 years. Originally from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, I made the decision to move to the sun, after waking up to one too many grey days!
I had already done a 2 year Spanish course, and came out to Fuerteventura on holiday, then soon after I packed my bags and re-located. I spend most of my spare time outdoors, at the beach and walking my dogs with my partner here who is a photographer (www.daisychained-photography.com), so I'm lucky that we get to explore this magnificent island in all its glory, with one of my favourite spots being Cofete for its wild and stunning coastline.
I also enjoy running and practice Ashtanga yoga, and whilst living on the island that is famous for its watersports, I have tried my hand at surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing...but I think I belong on land!
I have been in the property industry in Fuerteventura for the past 5 years, therefore I have a good knowledge of the area, and experience to offer anyone that wants to consider investing in property in Fuerteventura. I'm lucky to be working with some great people at Courtney Estates Direct, who I have previously worked alongside over the past 3 years and who I consider friends as well as colleagues.
So, if you are considering a holiday home, or even a permanent move to the island, take it from me, you will only wake up to lots of sunny days!
Duncan Coles ( Sales Consultant )
I have managed a personal portfolio of properties in the UK and Fuerteventura for the past 8 years. After 7 years of family holidays in Corralejo and a little financial encouragement from my old employer, I finally made the commitment and moved to this beautiful island.
I am originally from Aldershot in Hampshire with 19 years sales and marketing management experience in the telecoms industry. There is a lot of green, open space in Aldershot but it was an easy trade for the beaches and hills of Fuerteventura. Strangely, I don't miss the hustle, the traffic or the unpredictable weather.
Instead I do get to enjoy the tranquillity, the warmth, the easy pace of life and the people on this welcoming island. As a teenager I discovered soul music and to this day I try to find any excuse to share my passion.............You can join the 'Duke of Soul' on Tuesdays at 7pm on 'Hot Fm' at www.hotfmcanary.com Be there or be square.
